Today, everyone had the chance to experience Japanese calligraphy (Shodō)! 🖌️
In Japan, children begin learning the importance of writing neatly from an early age through handwriting practice and calligraphy in primary school. It's not just about beautiful writing—it's also about patience, focus, and expressing yourself with care.
If you're going to experience Japan, you simply have to try Shodō! 🇯🇵
After practicing the basics with brush and ink, it was time for the real challenge—one brushstroke, one spirit! (Ippitsu Nyūkon) 💪✨
Each student created their own original hanging scroll (kakejiku) featuring a word or phrase that was meaningful to them. Every piece was unique, full of personality, and beautifully done.
Well done, everyone! You all did an amazing job! 👏🖤
