今年から新たに始まった、ハワイのIsland Pacific Academy（IPA）への短期留学プログラム！
2022年に江戸川区とホノルル市が姉妹都市提携を結んだことをきっかけに実現した本プログラム。多くの応募者の中から選ばれた5名の生徒が、緊張と期待を胸に、いよいよハワイへ出発しました！✈️🌺
ホノルル到着後は、まず「この木なんの木」でおなじみのモアナルア・ガーデンへ。その後、カメハメハ大王像やイオラニ宮殿を訪れ、さらに日本文化センターでは、ハワイの日系移民の歴史について学びました。
そして、いよいよIPAへ！ホストファミリーとの初対面では、一緒にゲームを楽しみ、大きなピザを囲んで交流しました。🍕😊

🌺 ALOHA! Our Hawaii Study Abroad Program Begins! 🇺🇸🌴
This year, Kanto Daiichi High School launched a new short-term study abroad program at Island Pacific Academy (IPA) in Hawaii!
Inspired by the sister-city partnership between Edogawa City and Honolulu, established in 2022, this exciting program offers students a new opportunity to experience Hawaiian life and culture. After a competitive selection process, five students set off for Hawaii with a mix of excitement and nerves! ✈️🌺
After arriving in Honolulu, they visited Moanalua Gardens, famous for the iconic Hitachi tree, followed by the King Kamehameha Statue and Iolani Palace. At the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaiʻi, they also learned about the history of Japanese immigrants in Hawaii.
Then came the big moment — meeting their host families at IPA! They broke the ice with games and enjoyed a giant pizza together, getting their stay off to a great start. 🍕😊
